Salary calculator for Poland: brutto to netto
The calculator works out how much of a gross rate is left in hand in Poland. ZUS and PIT rates come from the service settings and are updated when the law changes.
What to know
- Contract types — Umowa o pracę, umowa zlecenie and B2B are taxed differently: different contributions, different maths, different take-home.
- Relief under 26 — Ulga dla młodych exempts income up to an annual limit from PIT. You can switch it on and off in the calculation.
- PPK — A savings scheme: the employee contribution lowers take-home pay, the employer contribution sits on top of the salary.
- Hourly rate — For hourly work the sum starts from the number of hours in a month — that is how an hourly job compares with a salaried one.
- Why do this before applying — The gross rate in a job ad and the money that lands in your account differ noticeably. Work it out before you talk to the employer — then you know whether the job covers rent and living in that particular city.
Frequently asked questions
What is left from 30 zł gross per hour?
It depends on the contract: umowa o pracę deducts ZUS and PIT, zlecenie has a different set of contributions, and on B2B you pay them yourself. Enter the rate and the contract type and the calculator shows both figures.
Why do two people on the same rate take home different amounts?
Because of the under-26 relief, taking part in PPK and where the tax declaration was filed. All three switches are in the calculation.
Does the calculator use current rates?
ZUS and PIT rates live in the service settings and are updated when the law changes. The result is indicative — the exact figure comes from the employer’s payroll.
